Barn Rats are a special part of Horsehaven of who we are very proud of!!!! This is a group of dedicated juniors who are invaluable helpers. Their tasks include stall cleaning, horse grooming and tacking, feeding, tack care and many other important daily chores. In reward for their hard work, they often are able to ride or longe a horse to help out Solange.

Barnrats all start out as students in the lesson program. When they show responsibility, maturity and a flare for team work, they are invited to hang out on a Sunday. This is so they can see if they would like to become a Rat.

Barnratting is not required though highly encouraged. It is a wonderful chance for a student to learn about total horse care.

Barnrats must be 11 years old or older.
